Harry Styles addictive fruit songs
His obsession with fruits has helped him gain chart-topping singles.

Harry Edward Styles is an English singer, songwriter, and actor who rose to fame with the boy band One Direction. After the band's indefinite hiatus, the singer went on to focus on his solo career. The artist signed a recording contract with Columbia Records at the start of 2016. Around that time, he also launched his own record label, Erskine Records. Through his first solo single, “Sign of the Times”, he established his own sound and distinguished himself as an individual artist from the band. The singer's songs and albums are glam rock-influenced, with soft rock, and pop-rock.

The 27-year-old singer began his journey in 2010 when he entered the British music competition series The X Factor. After his elimination early on, he was ultimately brought back to join the boy band One Direction. One Direction was an amazing beginning for Harry’s career as the group became one of the best-selling boy bands of all time. In 2016, the group went on a break to pursue their individual solo careers. Harry released his first solo album in 2017 which debuted at number one in the UK and the US. Styles continued his music career by releasing his second album Fine line in 2019. For the 2020 Brit Awards, Styles was nominated for British Male Solo Artist and British Album of the Year.
Albums

The ten-track self-titled album was released on 12 May 2017. The tracks in the album are a collection of soft rock, rock, Britpop, and pop. The influences of the late 1960s and 1970s are heard and in some moments, the flamboyant harder rock of the late 1970s and 1980s are heard. The lyricism in the album dominated by a focus on women and relationships. In a Rolling Stone interview, Styles talks about the album saying,
“The one subject that hits the hardest is love, whether it’s platonic, romantic, loving it, gaining it, losing it…it always hits you hardest.”

The second studio album Fine Line was released on 13 December 2019. The twelve-track album themes involve relationships, breakups, happiness, and feeling sad. The whole concept of healthy, happy, sad, or toxic relationships is very intriguing as it is based on a real story and experience he had. The album consists of elements such as pop-rock, prog-pop, psychedelic pop, folk, soul, funk, and indie-pop. This album contains my favorite songs and music videos.
Songs
Adore You
Adore you has the catchiest tune and is one of my favorite songs of his. The track is about love and passion for a significant other, and to an extent which he would do things for his lover. While introducing the song at NPR Tiny Desk Concert series show, he joked about the song by saying,
“The song I’m going to play, it’s called ‘Adore You’. It’s about a fish. I just had this fish, and I just really liked it. That’s kind of the whole story behind it.”
He cleared the meaning by explaining the song is actually about the spark and thrill you experience when you meet someone new.
“I guess it’s kind of similar in the baseline of ‘Watermelon Sugar’ in just being about that initial excitement of meeting someone … You know, just, take me!”
Sign of the Times
This emotional and sentimental song is inspired by 70s rock songs by David bowie and the rock band Queen. It's a slow-paced pop-rock song and it is about avoiding emotions and reality during times of grief, difficulties, and hardship. Styles talks about the song in an interview with NME,
“‘Sign of the Times’ came from ‘This isn’t the first time we’ve been in a hard time, and it’s not going to be the last time’. The song is written from a point of view as if a mother was giving birth to a child and there’s a complication. The mother is told, ‘The child is fine, but you’re not going to make it.’ The mother has five minutes to tell the child, ‘Go forth and conquer.’”
Watermelon Sugar
The song became the 2020 summer banger. There were many theories behind the meaning of this pop-rock and funk-pop song. During his performance in NPR Tiny Desk Concert, Harry explained shortly how ‘Watermelon Sugar’ came about, and the meaning behind it by saying,
“It’s kind of about that initial I guess euphoria of when you start seeing someone or sleeping with someone or just like being around someone and you have that kind of excitement about them.”
Harry Styles grossing attraction and adoration may seem because of his non-toxic masculinity statements but it would be hard not to admire his fascinating musicality. From his addictive summer hits to his slow-paced vulnerable tracks. His versatility plays a key feature in his music career and it helps us to expect more from him.
